About the Church
We believe that the church belongs to the Lord! It is His body and every Christian is a member of that body. It is not defined racially, socially, geographically, or ethnically. The purpose of the church is to glorify God (Ephesians 3:10-11). God is glorified when we grow closer to Him (Ephesians 4:11-16) and when we reach out to those around us with the love of Christ (Luke 9:2).
We believe that the Church is the establishment of the Lord Jesus Christ, as He declared: “Upon this rock, I will build My Church.” This was fulfilled in Acts chapter 2, where the Church was established and purchased with His own blood (Acts 20:28).
In Acts chapter 2, Peter preached to the people in Jerusalem about the salvation offered through Christ’s death. On that day, 3,000 souls obeyed his message, and as Scripture records: “And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:47)
We are that Church. Therefore, we are not a denomination nor part of any larger religious body. The Apostle Paul describes the Church as “the pillar and ground of the truth” (1 Timothy 3:15).
